Prince Alwaleed bin Talal (r) shakes hands with EADS Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders (l) in front of an Airbus A380 during the 2007 Dubai Air Show, 12 Nov 2007.

Don’t you feel like shaking your head in amazement when you hear about things rich people do in their day to day life to amuse themselves with toys as expensive as $310 Million?

Stop the shaking, this time it is not some russian paying $10 Million to goto moon, it’s our very own Saudi Prince, so called guardians of the “Holy Land”. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal just bought a brand spanking new Airbus A-380, which has about 500 square meters of floor space on two decks and can cram up to 800 people into economy seats. Are we talking about 10 wives and 50 children here? I hope not, he only has one wife and two kids (according to forbes).

Maybe you are wondering who is this dude? He is the 13th richest person in the world according to Forbes magazine. He has a 10% stake in Citi Corp if I am not mistaken. He is the one who flew to New York city after 9/11 to give $10 Million but Guliani rejected the money (he was the mayor at that time) because after donating the money, he criticized Israel - you can’t do that in New York.

Anywayz… the point is that people can’t buy a house that big on land, not even half the size of this plane sometimes but someone out there has the luxury to do so in style. Is it okay to be jealous now?
