My Top 5 Sites for Watching Movies Online

I started looking online for movies I could watch and didn’t realize there were websites now where you could watch recently released movies in fairly good quality. These websites obviously have a bootleg version of the movie and the quality is not that great but it is still worth the hunt because you do find movies with good quality and speed that might be little old.
(Disclaimer: The websites listed below don’t host the movies on their servers and are not doing anything illegal because they only provide links to websites that stream movie online. By watching movies online, you are not doing anything illegal, just don’t download any movies and distribute it because that is illegal. Morally, it is wrong because you are not spending enough money on theatre tickets and your favorite Hollywood star is going to have a hard time buying a new mansion, that’s all.)
Here is my list of top 5 sites for watching movies online:
1) Watch-Movies.net
Watch-Movies.net is a very large website. It specializes in movies, unlike other websites that have tv, sports etc. It has a large community of members who comment and review the quality, speed and the content of the movie. You as an unregistered person can vote on the links for the movie and rate it. If links receive bad rating, they are taken off and new links are added. Watch-Movies.net is a community driver website so the links are usually fresh. I recently watched Jodhaa Akbar, Rendition, Juno, American Gangster, and Saw IV.
2) QuickSilverScreen
QuickSilverScreen is highly ranked both according to alexa and google and has categories like tv, documentaries etc. There movies are not that new but happen to be working and good quality. They also have a community forum that you can use to register and indulge in discussions about movies and other things.
3) Watch Movies on Demand
Watch-Movies-On-Demand.tv like the name suggests, has links as well as they embed the videos from other website onto their blog styled website so that you don’t have to leave their website. They have 900+ movies and they don’t care about anything but movies. You can comment on the movies, register on to the website, digg it, bookmark it and basically everything else to make it accessible.
4) MovieRumor
MovieRumor also specializes in only movies and has all the movies on its own website instead of sending you to some other website. There are no pop-ups and the website is very simple and user friendly. Most movies are good quality except the ones that happen to have just come out.
5) RedCurtainMovies
RedCurtainMovies is excellent if you want to watch movies that are little old, not the one currently playing in theaters but the movies already out on DVD. I really like the quality as well as the collection of movies they have, it is better than NetFlix.

Great compilation. I’ve been using Veoh.com to watch some movies and TV series that are not shown on the local channels. It’s pretty good. Will be checking out the sites from your list..thanks!

I watched enchanted on watch-movies.net yesterday with my 9 year old sister-in-law. Quality was really good for a movie that is not out on DVD yet…

I watch most of the movies in Vidics.com seems the only site to update the links all the time , hardly see any link not working. Watch movies . net is ok but too many links broken.

There's another major player online who's recently upgraded and joined the long line of top quality web 2.0 movie streaming websites. It's a movie-related community featuring the ability to follow streaming links to all existing movies and tv shows. The site is called MoviesPlanet. I highly recommend looking into it.
