Muslim Unity Day 2008 will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. Tickets are currently being sold online for $28/person.

Just like the last year, there will be halal food for people to buy, merchants will be selling Islamic merchandise like art, cds, clothing, books, jewelry, etc. followed by live entertainment presented by Seven8Six and FiveEighty.

I attended MUD last year and it was great, not because you could see so many Muslims in a single location but because Ahmed Ahmed, the comedian, performed and was highlight of the day.

This year, new kid on the block, Imran Khan will be the standup comedian…. for $28 bucks, he better be worth it!

I will be volunteering with my wife, probably selling tickets at the door during the early hours… if you happen to show up… feel free to say “Salaam” or something… please don’t ask for free tickets…

If you want to purchase tickets and you live around the U.C. Berkeley area, show up at the Jummah (YWCA) at 1:15pm this Friday. Tickets are usually sold at the door after a $5 markup…. you snooze you lose…
