Like every year, SFSU MSA is organizing its Ramadan Fast-a-Thon next week. The whole concept behind Fast-a-Thon is to get non-Muslims to fast one day and then have them break their fast with Muslims and other non-Muslims.

Fast-a-Thon helps create awareness about the issue of hunger, and also about the Islamic way of life and Muslims. Each person that fasts contributes in a unique way because arrangements are made for a certain amount to be donated to charity on behalf of the person fasting. Apart from that, FREE food is served and everyone, fasting or not fasting, is invited to attend.

Here are the details:

Date: Thursday, September 18, 2008
Time: 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Location: Jack Adams Hall in San Francisco State University
Street: 19th Avenue and Holloway
City/Town: San Francisco, CA
