I was way too busy to blog last week even though I wished I could. Eid was looming, midterms were approaching and my work was stressful.

Working at WaMu last week and a week before that was not easy because of the whole thing with Chase buying WaMu. First it was the uncertainty then it was the fear that the branches will be closed because of the merger. Most people think that California has Chase branches all over the place like Starbucks but that is not true.

WaMu branches won’t be closing in California, how can they? To close branches they would need their own branches here first and that is nowhere to be found. WaMu branches in California will remain open indefinitely.

Before the end of this week, one other news dominated the news media was the $700 Billion bailout, which was passed recently and approved by the President. I don’t personally feel that it would do anything to boost up the economy. It will help the Wall Street and not the main street.

I am still figuring out the iPhone and have downloaded this cool application called Zippo. You can literally light up a zippo lighter and with the movement of the iPhone, move the flame.
