Don’t Use TweeterAdder or TweeterFollow

Who doesn’t need followers on Twitter? The answer to that question is “Everyone Does” and that’s the reason there are websites taking advantage of people trying to gain more followers.

I recently used my twitter user id and password to login to TweeterAdder.com. I have used other twitter follower generator programs in the past but none of them invaded my twitter account like TweeterAdder does.

The guy behind TweeterAdder.com, Ryan Johnson, also runs TweeterFollow.com. Both these websites are the same, they just use a different domain. This is what you agree to when you use their website:

1. You agree to submit your twitter accout credentials.

2. You agree to allow us to store your account information in our database.

3. You agree your account will be used to automatically tweet an update on your account for promotional purposes every 4 hours with the exception of VIP members.

4. You agree upon loging in you allow us tweet an update on your twitter for promotion.

5. You agree when buying vip there are no refunds or returns what so ever.

6. You agree to allow us up to 6 hours to put your twitter user name on the vip section.

7. You agree if you spam our site you will be banned from our service forever with out hesitation.

There is no way you can remove your account once you login. Both the websites will use your twitter username and password to login to your account and broadcast a tweet to get more exposure. All your legitimate followers will stop following you because they will think you are a spammer and eventually after few complains your account will be banned by Twitter.

The only way to stop the broadcast messages is to change your username or password on Twitter. I don’t recommend changing username because you won’t get replies (@username) from your old username. Change your password and next time be careful when using any website that asks for your username as well as password.

thanks for the heads up… but do these sites deliver what they promise you'll benefit from joining? but i guess the negatives outweigh the positives, so thanks again…

I don 't think these websites are positive. I still remember when there were large number of scripts that were being used to get you more myspace friends. That wasn't really fruitful and eventually myspace did something to stop it and limit friends etc.

Twitter is currently a baby and in coming months I expect twitter to cut down on these kinds of websites that just allow you to randomly get followers for no good purpose.

I have an account; it was ok at best for about five minutes. Except you have an exceptional need for it.

I don't use apps. Most of them is spam and nothing of value. Rather good old twitter without anything. Thanks for confirming my decision not to use apps.
